SKCraft servers are whitelist-only. Apply on the site, wait for staff approval, install the right client, then connect. Alice (Minecraft 1.21) is modded. The SKCraft Launcher is required. Vanilla Minecraft and third-party modpack launchers cannot join this world.
What you need
- Minecraft: Java Edition on a Microsoft account that owns the game
- The SKCraft Launcher with the Alice modpack installed
- The same Microsoft account you use for whitelist and for the launcher login
- Whitelist approval before multiplayer will work. The server rejects connections until you’re approved.
Step 1: Apply for whitelist
Sign in with Microsoft and submit an application on the site:
Staff review every application by hand. Response times vary. Wait for approval before trying to connect. If you’re not on the whitelist yet, the server will turn you away even with the right modpack installed.
Already play on another SKCraft world? Whitelist is network-wide. If your account is already approved, you can skip to step 2.
Invited by a friend? Players who are already on the server can use /invite in game to add you. You still need a valid Minecraft Java account linked to the whitelist.
Changed your Minecraft username? Your whitelist entry follows your account UUID. You stay approved after a name change.
Check application status after you apply. You’ll need to sign in again to see updates.
Step 2: Install with the SKCraft Launcher
Alice is modded. You must install and play through the SKCraft Launcher. It keeps the pack version, mods, and Java settings in sync with what the server runs.
- Download the SKCraft Launcher (installer linked from server status when published).
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account you used for whitelist.
- Select Alice (Minecraft 1.21) from the modpack list.
- Sync or download updates when prompted. First install can take a while.
- Press Launch when the pack is ready.
Browse the mod list to see what’s in the pack, or read patch notes for recent changes.
Launcher tips
- Login: Use your Microsoft / Minecraft Java account. Same identity staff whitelist.
- Java and RAM: If the game crashes on startup or runs out of memory, open launcher settings and increase allocated RAM. Use the Java runtime bundled with the launcher unless you know you need a different version.
- Resource packs: Optional packs can be added through the launcher’s resource-pack options.
- Portable mode: The launcher supports a portable install if you need to run it from a USB drive or a separate folder.
Step 3: Connect
Once you’re approved and the pack is installed in the SKCraft Launcher:
- Launch Alice from the SKCraft Launcher.
- Open Multiplayer.
alice.skcraft.comis already on your server list. The SKCraft Launcher prefills the correct address for each modpack instance. - Join the server.
Always launch the Alice profile. Do not use vanilla Minecraft or another server’s modpack.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to try |
|---|---|
| ”Not whitelisted” or login rejected | Confirm your application was accepted. New applications need staff review first. |
| Missing mods / version mismatch | Re-sync the pack in the SKCraft Launcher. Do not use the official Minecraft Launcher or a manual mod install for Alice. |
| Crashes on startup | Increase RAM in launcher settings. Close other heavy apps. Make sure you’re launching the Alice profile. |
| Can’t connect at all | Check server status for uptime. Confirm you’re on Java Edition, not Bedrock. |
